Inexpensive organizer

Made this organizer with items I found at Target and some E6000 glue. Very easy and inexpensive the plastic ware costs 79 cents each and the candle was from the dollar spot and only cost $3.00 You can see the process at my youtube channel liked below.

I decided to try the cup on the side instead of on top.
It's a tall cup and the items that would need to fit would probably topple it over. I don't need it to swivel the round shape takes up less room and I can stack things that I go to very easily.

Hope it is inspiring for you let me know in the comments below. Like and share if you please. Take care and big hugs.

Blessings magnet

Using these dollar tree magnet tins and ribbon I decided to create a blessings magnet. Actually I saw this witches ball on Pinterest picture. I tried to upload but alas I am still in the learning stage and maybe they don't want me to show you. So if you search witches ball or ornament you'll see what I mean.

I did make one and it was pretty hefty too. I had rose quartz in it and I think it was too heavy so I glued the top on to keep it from fall off. The saying is actually from The Secret, well at least that is where I saw it and I tried hard to find out where it came from originally. No luck I even tried to come up with a poem about it on my own.

Ingredients'
rose quartz, lavender, cloves, anise, cinnamon, rose buds, jasmine buds.

Let me know what you think of my idea of a Blessings Magnet.

Dia de los muertos collaboration

This is one of the traditions that I think is so worth learning about. The day of the dead, Dia De Los Muertos, is the same as All Saints Day was when I was a kid. Only when you say Saints it sounds so much gentler. Now older people might understand this but when they took away the Saints (don't ask) what was left? Dia De Los Muertos celebrates our family, not just the Saints, well, unless you happened to think of someone who has passed as a Saint. (My only Saint in my family was my dog). I digress, here is our interpretation of this wonderful Holiday please like, share, subscribe and comment.

Say hello to my ILY fairy. she is a multi-meda small canvas piece. I drew her and really loved her expression I wanted to keep her around to remind me that sometimes I can draw. So I cut her out and gave her some modpodge to keep her steady. I used an array of found objects in my crafty room from flowers to beads and her wings were from a barrete butterfly I think.

This was one of my first canvas with polymer clay pieces. I wanted it to be colorful just bring me a smile when I looked at it. I do smile because this canvas is a 4 x 4 and she looks like she just landed there to rest. Her wings were propped up with foil and some beads were added as embellishments. I loved how this turned out. I think we need to do this one together.

Tucson Gem and Mineral Show 2018

This past week in my area is the Gem and Mineral show.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tucson_Gem_&_Mineral_Show

This event is one of the most significant money-making events in our city. However, it seems that our small businesses still have issues. At least when I travel to events outside my state, I don't necessarily frequent the small shops. Not because I choose not to but because unless you know the area, it can be a daunting task to find those little shop.

First, going to a different state is expensive, the cost of plane tickets, hotel, and travel expenses leave little to spend. There are some excellent "show only" deals on supplies not to mention the cost of classes that you might take. (These are usually scheduled ahead and can run around $150) Of course, if you take classes you may want to purchase the items, so when you get home, you can dig right in and begin production.

That is one of the catches; it is a considerable large-area, and most people who have never been to the gem show might be caught up by all of the excitement and get drawn into a pop-up tent or one of the hotels where yes you can get good deals and don't forget you can bargain.  Only to find they spent their pennies on what some consider cheap supplies.

First, know what you need and want before you head out into the vastness of the gem show. Shuttles are available to take you to the main places, and we even have Uber and Lyft available. Don't buy everything in one place, take notes, get a business card and ask questions. Look at the shopping guides and map out a plan. The one I like to go to are;

https://jogsshow.com

I am attending the Jogs show and going to a class. Which was awesome.

So what is there to do in a town you know nothing about? Well, let's consider the possibilities. Fourth Ave is always a fun place to visit, and there are lots of shops that are kitschy and fun. Not to mention the food is yum. Speaking of food another place where you can get your munch and see all sorts of jewelry and art is at
Old Town Artisans right diagonal from the Tucson Art Gallery you will not be disappointed.

Here is our events page for Tucson, Az. There is a list of other things we have so don't forget to come back.

I hope when you come on out next year you will find all the fabulous shops and small restaurants that are out here to enjoy all year round.
