This is one of the traditions that I think is so worth learning about. The day of the dead, Dia De Los Muertos, is the same as All Saints Day was when I was a kid. Only when you say Saints it sounds so much gentler. Now older people might understand this but when they took away the Saints (don't ask) what was left? Dia De Los Muertos celebrates our family, not just the Saints, well, unless you happened to think of someone who has passed as a Saint. (My only Saint in my family was my dog).
