Crafting since the dawn of time. Yes, I am old; I come from a time when such things as Michaels, JoAnn's, let alone Amazon, did not exist.
I had to create things from cardboard, string, and masking tape. There were no such things as YouTube where you could find out how to do anything. It was created and failed on your own. Took me years to figure out Gingerbread houses were not made from real Gingerbread! But I digress.
At 14, I learned to knit from my aunt, and then I taught myself embroidery and crocheting from a magazine. Yes, we read to figure things out, believe it or not. At school, I learned how to sew and make my own clothes. They don't teach that anymore.
When I was old enough to go to classes, I found many people the same as me. Amazingly, they too gather all the things needed to do a hobby, and then once mastered, they find a new hobby. I thought I was the only one who did that. MY PEOPLE.
Now I am here with a YouTube channel, a blog, and, god knows, a house full of materials I could open my own craft business.I have a family of craftspeople, too. Apparently, my dad is where I got this from, and I have passed this obsession on to my children. You are welcome, kids, and we all make different things, and I am very proud of all of them.
